Highlight Ice Palace
The Natural Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier is a spectacular natural wonder waiting to be discovered by young and old with its underground world of ice and light. The entrance to the mysterious cave is located at the very top, near the viewing platform at Gefrorene Wand, 3,250 metres above sea level.
A professional guide takes you into the palace which has been entirely created by nature.
Into the crystal chamber with its sparkling ice crystals, through a crevasse, past frozen waterfalls and across a glacier lake into the blue chamber and the ice chapel lit up in red. The highlight is the ice palace itself which is 15 metres high. The cave can be visited all year round.
